Oklahoma to Home

A Van Gogh replica painting, Goodland, KS

Andrea left Washington D.C. on Sept. 29th.  She drove to Brittany's in Knoxville, and by the afternoon of Oct. 2nd she arrived at Amy & John's home. So, that Tuesday afternoon, I flew to Oklahoma City to meet Andrea and help her finish her drive HOME. Since this was Andrea's first trip to OKC, that night, we had dinner at one of my favorite restuarants which is on the edge of Lake Hefner.  Just look at the beautiful sunset we got to enjoy after dinner! Wednesday, each of us jogged around Amy and John's cute neighborhood.  Later, we went downtown to see the National Memorial site and then had a yummy bbq lunch in an area called Brickyard.  The girls made a donut run and then Andrea & I started our 17 hour car drive.  Driving through Kansas with Andrea was interesting.  Since she had the privilage of working for Senator Roberts of Kansas, she knew a lot about this state.

My favorite part of the trip was getting to spend time with a few members of my family.

  1. What a drive it was! So glad you were willing to come with me!

  2. So glad you came, but next time will you stay for longer than 22 hours, PLEASE?!?!

  3. Sounds like a once in a lifetime type of trip. Thanks for blogging and sharing. Love you and your family!
