Boysenberry Cheesecake - YUM

Do you like cheesecake?  Not the regular recipe this time but a deluxe delicious boysenberry recipe I found here: http://www.knotts.com/images/uploads/file/Boysenberry.pdf
I didn't have a 9" spring form pan that the recipe called for so I used the largest pie pan I had and since there was left over cheesecake batter - I made mini cheesecakes by putting cupcake liners in my muffin tins, adding one Nilla Vanilla wafer in the bottom of the liners and poured the batter on top of the wafer.  The cheesecake sunk down once it cooled so don't be afraid to fill the batter as high as you dare. This gave me 10 mini cheesecakes that I shared with my visiting teaching families. The result was super yummy cheesecake!  For another photo and the complete recipe including the few changes I made to the original recipe go to our family food blog: http://candriangirls.blogspot.com/2013/01/boysenberry-cheesecake-mini-cheesecakes.html
Packaged & ready to deliver to the families I visit...what a happy Sunday treat!

Bargain

Yesterday, I went to pick-up a book that the library had on hold for me.
I got my book and look at all the other books I picked-up & now these are mine...
...all these books cost me $1.00!
YES, ONLY ONE DOLLAR.
I love a good deal, don't you?
These books are perfect for reading on trips and then leaving them behind.

Ouch!

Late last night, I was sewing a new quilt design & accidentally got my finger too close to the needle & the needle went through my finger, I jerked my hand, saw it bleeding, quickly washed my finger, went back to finishing what I'd started & noticed that part of the sewing machine needle was missing.  After looking on my work table, I decided it must still be in my finger. I couldn't see it to get it out so today after teaching our Sunbeam class, Mike took me to Insta-care and after a 2 hour visit with them, a tetanus shot, an x-ray to prove my theory, (that the needle tip was still in my finger) and two numbing shots into the finger, plus two more numbing shots (one on each side of my finger), the good doctor finally got that annoying thing out.  I admit, it hurt, my finger was turning colors  & now I have a cute thing on my finger that makes it hard to type....OUCH, ouch, OUCH!
Mike has been so good to wait on me today, it's amazing how one finger out of commission, makes it so hard to do things.
